The ARAS Musical Theatre Company is a yearlong program with the cast working on two full length musical theatre productions at a professional theatre venue. Singing, voice work, choreography, movement, improvisation and character development will be incorporated in this performance-based class designed in a professional, company setting format. One on one singing/music coaching as well as choral work will be part of the program. Costumes, set and props are part of each performance and students will be expected to attend extra blocking, dress and technical rehearsals. Students may choose to register for the full year and participate in both shows or registration will also be accepted for one production alone. Students must request an audition if new to the program.

In this fun and engaging program, kids will dig into those wild, fantastical, true, fictional or lyrical pieces they have floating around in those creative minds. The class will delve into the art of writing and each week will focus on a particular style – poems, short stories, monologue, character and plot development. Students will write in each class guided by prompts and exercises and they will have the opportunity to read their work out loud. Hear what the students have to say here!
